Editor's Review: The Advanta Life of Balance Platinum Card offers card members the ability to earn up to a 6% cash back rebate on specific card purchases. Keep in mind, that the actual rebate percentage offered is based on a sliding scale that assigns the rebate on the basis of the overall purchase amount charged to the card. In essence, the higher the spend, the higher your rebate percentage will be. Nevertheless, rebates are given out to cardholders in $50 increments and there is no limit the rebate amount you can earn. Cardholders can also select a travel rewards option as well. As always, make sure that you thoroughly investigate the terms and conditions of this offer (and every card offer for that matter) for full disclosure.

In addition, the Life of Balance Platinum Card has no annual fee requirement, comparably low ongoing APR on purchases and also offers a very competitive 2.99% APR for "life" on balances that are transferred with the first 3 months of card member sign-up.

It is important to note that the actual APR is tied to the highest Prime Interest Rate within a 3 month period, making it somewhat tricky to peg the variable APR on an ongoing basis.
