The Alaska Airlines Visa Signature airline credit card, which is issued by FIA Card Services, N.A., is designed in cooperation with Alaska Airlines. Cardholders can earn a number of travel related rewards good toward Alaska Airlines and its partner airlines. These partner airlines include British Airways, American Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Continental Airlines, KLM, Horizon Air, Northwest Airlines, Lan Chile, and QANTAS.
The Alaska Airlines Visa Signature airline credit card allows cardholders to earn one mile for every dollar they spend toward general purchases. For purchases made through Alaska Airlines or on special vacation packages, the cardholder earns double miles. In addition, the cardholder earns 5 miles for every dollar spent at certain restaurants. With so many ways to earn miles, this is one of the best airlines credit card offers available. Signing up for the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature credit card also earns applicants a bonus of 20,000 miles. These miles are applied to the account immediately upon approval. In addition, 2,000 bonus miles are added each year when the card is renewed. The miles earned never expire as long as the account stays active within a three-year period. In addition, there is no annual limit on the number of miles a cardholder can earn.
As if the rewards program associated with this airline credit card isn't enough, cardholders also get a variety of additional perks with the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Credit Card. One of these bonuses is the $1,000,000 travel accident insurance. The card also offers a variety of travel and emergency assistance services and auto rental insurance. The cardholder also receives a $50 companion airline ticket each year, in addition to receiving common perks such as extended warranty service and online account access.
The Alaska Airlines Visa Signature credit card requires a $75 annual fee. This fee can be easily recouped if an airline ticket is earned within a two-year period. In addition, the APR, which is based on the highest prime rate in a three-month period, is low compared to other airline credit cards. Additional cards for other cardholders are free.
