The British Airways Visa Signature Card rewards cardholders with one mile of airline travel for every dollar spent. As an extra bonus, this airlines credit card also rewards 2 miles for every dollar that is spent through British Airways. Even better, there is no cap on how many miles the cardholder can accumulate and the miles never expire, as long as the cardholders frequent flyer account remains active for a minimum of three years. Every mile earned can be used to fly with British Airways, or one if its partner airlines, as well as any other services related to travel.
The British Airways Visa Signature Card also stands out from other airline credit cards because it provides cardholders with an amazing 20,000 bonus miles after making their first purchase. In addition, this card provides $1,000,000 in travel related insurance, including auto rental insurance, travel accident insurance, and lost luggage insurance. Furthermore, cardholders who purchase a regularly priced round-trip transatlantic ticket from Club World, FIRST, or World Traveller Plus receive a free companion ticket with British Airways.
Unlike many airline credit cards, the British Airways Visa Signature card does not have a predetermined spending limit. Instead, whether or not a purchase can be made depends on the cardholder's payment history and spending habits. This card offers a 16.24% variable rate for purchases and 21.99% variable rate for cash advances. In addition, there is a 3% cash advance fee, with a $10 minimum, as well as a 3% balance transfer fee. The balance transfer fee has a $5 minimum and a $75 maximum.
There is an annual fee of $75 dollars for this card, but this can soon be recouped with airline miles. If a cardholder happens to be late making a payment, there is a $15 fee on balances of less than $250 and a $39 fee on balance of $250 or more. Because there is no pre-set limit with this airline credit card, there are no over the limit fees.
