The Citi PremierPass®
Elite Level is an excellent airline credit card offered by Citibank.
This card was designed specifically for those with very good credit who are also
looking for a rewards program in the form of an airline credit
card.
With the Citi PremierPass Card - Elite level, cardholders earn
points for every dollar they spend. Each dollar spent at a gas station,
drugstore, or supermarket earns two points. Each dollar spent toward parking
merchants or on commuter transportation also earns two points. Every other
purchase earns one point. These points can then be used to purchase gift
certificates and, of course, airline travel. Cardholders will earn 20,000 bonus
points after the first $600 in purchases on the card within the first 3 months
of opening the account. In addition, the points can be used to earn credits
through the ThankYou Redemptions Network.
Cardholders are allowed to
earn up to 200,000 points in one year, which is rather high for an airline
credit card. In addition, the points will not expire as long as the account
shows some form of activity within a three-year timeframe.
In addition
to being an airline credit card, the Citi PremierPass® Elite Level offers
several additional perks. For the traveler, it offers free unlimited companion
travel, up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance,
lost luggage services, and a variety of other travel related services. The card
also provides fraud and security protection and protection from liability for unauthorized
transactions.
The Citi PremierPass® Elite Level also provides lost
wallet service, lost and stolen card reporting, and emergency cash and card
replacement. For added convenience, the card offers an autopayment option and
both medical and legal referral services.
The Citi PremierPass® Elite
Level has a $75 annual fee. There is not, however, an additional fee to add
cardholders to the account.
All in all, this is a very solid airline
rewards card for those who can take full advantage of the rewards
program.
