Editor's Review: The MilesEdge Card is a travel rewards card which is ideal for people who enjoy traveling and want to take advantage of the rewards offered in all aspects of their travel. In addition to allowing you to use your rewards points towards airline miles, the MilesEdge Card lets you apply points to reducing the cost of hotel stays, theme park tickets and even certain travel products. This makes it a very versatile card for travelers who are seeking more than just a standard airline rewards card.

The MilesEdge Card provides a very basic rewards program which allows you to earn one point for every one dollar that is spent on the card. These points can then be applied to a variety of different travel purchases. In comparison with other travel rewards cards, there are a limited number of bonus points that can be earned on the MilesEdge Card. There are 1,000 bonus points received for the first purchase but that’s one of the very few bonuses that you’ll find on this card.

It should also be noted that there are some limitations on the MilesEdge Card. One that doesn’t impact too many credit card holders is the fact that only 75,000 points can be earned in each calendar year. Since most people aren’t going to spend $75,000 on their MilesEdge Card on one year, that’s not really a big deal. What is of more concern however is that you are required to use your rewards points within four years of the date on which they were earned. If you are someone who likes to horde your rewards points, this probably isn’t the right card for you.

There is an annual fee associated with this card but it is less than $20 per year which most people consider more than fair for a travel rewards card. The interest rate on the MilesEdge Card is considered to be average. Those people who regularly carry a balance on the card may wish to seek out a lower-interest card but those people who usually pay their balance off in full each month, carrying a balance only occasionally, should find that the interest rate is reasonable. As an added bonus, there is a six-month introductory rate on this card which allows you a 0% interest rate on purchases, balance transfers and cash advances.

The MilesEdge Card is right for someone who wants to accumulate points towards all aspects of travel as opposed to just getting airline rewards from their credit card. It is ideal for people who are seeking to transfer balances for a short period of time since it does have that 0% introductory interest rate. People with good credit who pay off their balances in full and use their rewards within a reasonable amount of time are those who are most likely to get the most for their money with this card.
