Editor's Review: Blue Cash® from American Express® is a credit card (not a charge card) designed for those with at least good credit who would like to take advantage of the cash back rebate offer and instant approval that this card provides.

Through the rebate program, cardholders qualify to earn a cash rebate award that varies depending upon the amount spent per year. The total or maximum rebate offered is limited to the first $50,000 in annual charges made on the card. "General Purchases" (such as meals, clothes, office supplies) can earn up to a 1.5% cash back rebates, and "Everyday Purchases" made at gas stations, drugstores and supermarkets can earn up to a 5% rebate.

This card also provides additional benefits and services that are commonly found with American Express® credit cards, such as the buyer's assurance warranty, purchase protection plan, as well as travel accident insurance. Additionally, this card also features "smart card" technology as well as a smart card reader.

The card has a reasonably low interest rate for purchases making it ideal for those who plan on carrying an occasional balance, and for those who qualify, the credit cards online approval process is instant (within minutes for most and 60 seconds or less for others.) The card has a 0% introductory rate for up to the first 12 months applicable towards all purchases, no annual fee, as well as a 2.99% introductory rate on balance transfers. The 2.99% introductory rate will apply for up to the first full twelve months. Please note that the introductory rate on the balance transfer will only apply to those who initiate a transfer at the time of application for the card.
