Credit Card Information Stolen from Foxwoods Casino Patrons

It seems as if the credit card scams are unending. On April 20, a man in Philadelphia plead guilty for his role in stealing almost $2 million through credit card fraud. Apparently, the man took advantage of patrons of the Foxwoods Resorts Casino in Philadelphia. He was responsible for setting up a scam that incorporated a number of assistants that also involved patrons of the casino. The man’s little ring gathered credit card information from other patrons and used the information to make payments to the accounts of other patrons. Those patrons could then use their cash advance receipts to get money from the cash cage

When the patrons involved in the scam got their free cash, they paid the leader of the ring anywhere from 25 to 40% of the money they stole. The man would then pay 10% to the accomplices that helped him find patrons willing to participate in the scandal.

Amazingly, this man managed to get away with his scam for a year before authorities finally caught up with him. The ringleader of the operation has entered into a plea agreement. According to the agreement, he may receive up to 63 months in prison as well as $100,000 in fines. The final sentence won’t be determined until July. Let’s just hope the other geniuses involved in this scam are also brought to justice.
