If you have a Chevron or Texaco-branded credit card, you might be noticing some changes pretty soon. According to a recent report, Chevron Corp. announced that it formed an agreement that will result in selling commercial and consumer credit cards to General Electric and to FleetCor Technologies Operating Company LLC.
Chevron has also stated that it will work with General Electric and with FleetCor in order to oversee customer experience. Chevron will also continue working with the companies for branding and images associated with their card products.
The deal won’t be closing until later this year. At this time, more details should be available. If all goes smoothly, you might not notice much of a change on your end, though you might start noticing the GE or FleetCor name associated with your credit card.

I do NOT like doing business with General Electric as I consider their CEO a traitor to the US because he did business with terrorist countries. Is there any other option to me as a private citizen other than buying my gas from another company?
i agree we will no longer be using chevron
My husband passed away last year. I have been purchasing gas and paying my bill in full before the due date since that time. Recently I received new cards in the mail, 3 in my husbands name and one in my name. I called the number given to tell them of my husbands passing. They told me that they would immediately close the account and that I could apply for another card in my name. I said I would be happy to do that, but I would like to keep this card to use until they sent me the new card. They said that would be impossible, as I was not responsible for the bill, it was in my husbands name. I reminded them that I had been paying for this bill for over a year and that I was responsible. Sorry…..I asked to speak to a supervisor and she pretty much told me the same thing…and was very rude besides.
After all this fretting about my precious "Chevron" card, I realize that I can charge my gas with my other credit card that pays me 1% back.
How's that for poetic justice? I have GE stock as well and you would not believe how hard it was to get it transferred into my name…even with wills and trusts.
