by on September 29, 2007

If you have been waiting for a credit card that would allow you to earn points to use on Expedia.com, your wait is over. Expedia Inc. recently announced that it is teaming with Citigroup Inc. in to bring its customers a branded credit card to be used in conjunction with the travel website.

The new Citi PremierPass / Expedia.com credit card will provide its users with points every time they use the card to book travel through Expedia. It will also provide cardholders with points for miles they travel on airlines.

The new credit card is being introduced as an expansion to the ThankYou Rewards Network, which was introduced by the two companies last year.

President of Expedia, Paul Brown, stated that the new card is being introduced in response to customer demand. According to Brown, customers said they want “ a way to earn points for all of their travel and across travel brands.” The new card sets out to make this possible.

I was not aware of the $75.00 annual fee when I applied. I currently have a Capital One Visa card with no annual fee, so rather than switch to your card, I want to cancel it before you send out the welcome package.

Here's the PremierPass customer service number.

1-800-950-5114

Call them and ask them to cancel the card because you don't want to pay the fee.

Keep in mind though, the $75 annual fee that applies is for the PremierPass ELITE card. The standard PremierPass card doesn't charge an annual fee. That might be a better fit for you.
