Mobile payment processing companies are creating great new products for small business owners. Think of the many businesses that operate without a traditional storefront like food trucks and mobile dog groomers. On-site photographers and even mall kiosk vendors could use a way of processing credit card payments from where they stand at any given moment.
There have been many smaller providers like Square that have tried to fill the void but a big name mobile processor is on the horizon. Intuit and Verizon Wireless have announced an alliance to give this type of business owner the ability to process cards from his tablet computer or even just his phone with their new GoPayment app.
The GoPayment app and accompanying hardware are both available from Verizon’s retail stores and via its business-to-business sales channels. The card reader is simple and easy to use. The transaction is processed immediately and funds are deposited within a few days. GoPayment supports all the major smartphone and tablet platforms.
