A woman was out shopping at a local clothing store near Kansas City last week when someone lifted her wallet from her purse. Her credit cards were inside. The thieves clearly wanted the prized credit cards most, as a bit later in the day at a store fairly close to where the woman was shopping, two women apparently successfully used the stolen credit cards.
The woman reported the theft to Overland Park police, and while they did review the surveillance footage, they have been unable to identify the individuals in the picture thus far. They are now turning to the public for help in this credit card fraud case.
Police have said the two women in the surveillance footage of persons of interest in the case, and anyone who may have information that can help identify them have been asked to contact the Overland Park police directly or phone the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS to provide information.
