US Airways Offering New Credit Card

by on September 30, 2007

US Airways Group has combined with Barclays PLC to launch a new US Airways Dividend Miles MasterCard BusinessCard. As you might have guessed, this card is targeted toward small-business owners that enjoy traveling with US Airways.

If you are a small business owner that’s interested in applying for this new credit card, you will have a couple options to choose from. One of your options is to pay a $79 annual fee and to automatically receive 25,000 bonus miles with your new card. With this option, you will also receive 15,000 in dividend miles once you complete your first purchase. You can then earn up to 10,000 more miles with any balance transfers that you make. With the annual fee option, you will also receive a US Airways Club Day pass for free for one year.

If you would rather not pay the annual fee, you can still have the credit card. Of course, your rewards will be a bit different if you choose not to pay the annual fee. With the no fee version of the card, you will earn dividend miles with every business purchase you make with the card. You will also receive 5,000 in dividend miles after making your first purchase and you will be able to earn an additional 10,000 in dividend miles for your balance transfers. In addition, you will receive one mile for every dollar that you spend toward purchases on US Airways.

Regardless of the option you select, you can receive a credit limit of up to $50,000. If you are not familiar with US Airways, the company is based in Arizona and is the fifth-largest domestic airline in the United States. The company has the largest hub at the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, where it operates a whopping 3,800 flits per day with over 230 destinations throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Do you also get 1mile for each $ spent? I would like to apply for the card. How do I go about that? I had a U.S.Air credit card over 1 year ago. That will not preclude my earning the bonus credits? I am interested in the card where you pay.
