A Pompano Beach woman, identified as Ann Marie Hernandez, faced 13 additional charges while she was in court being arraigned on previous fraudulent credit card use charges last April. The 13 additional charges leveled against Hernandez include schemes to defraud, criminal use of personal information, credit card fraud and grand theft.
Due to the nature of the original case, an investigation was continued according to a news release. And the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Economic Crimes Unit discovered she had fraudulently opened additional credit cards under the same victim’s name. The fraudulent credit cards were used to rack up more than $6,000 in illicit charges at four Lee County businesses, investigators said.
