by on May 1, 2007

If you are one of many people that are seemingly addicted to the online game World of Warcraft, you will be excited to hear about this new card being offered by Visa and First National Bank of Omaha. Blizzard, the makers of World of Warcraft, have teamed up with these financial institutions to bring to you a special World of Warcraft credit card

Even better, this new credit card is actually a rewards credit card. Sorry to disappoint you, but you won’t be able to earn Warcraft gold with the card. You can, however, earn free play time. In addition, the first time you use the card, you will earn one month of free game time. Thereafter, you will earn one cent toward your dues for every dollar spent. This works out to earning a free month of time for every $1500 you spend.

There is no annual fee for this new card, which is adorned with the World of Warcraft logo and a picture of an orc. The card also offers a 0% introductory APR on all balance transfers and purchases made in the first twelve billing cycles. Thereafter, the APR is variable, with the lowest rate being 9.9%.

As with many credit cards, if you hope to keep the lower rates, you need to be certain to make all of your payments when they come do and to avoid spending beyond your credit limit. In addition, if you make balance transfers with the card, you will have to pay a fee equivalent to 3% of the amount transferred. Regardless of how much you transfer, you will have to pay at least $10 for the transfer but you won’t have to pay any more than $75.

You will also enjoy a number of the benefits commonly associated with credit cards, such as purchase protection and extended warranties. In addition, you will receive travel assistance services, travel accident insurance up to $250,000, and up to a 25% discount on car rental from certain car rental agencies.
