Border Agents Seize Over 400 Fraudulent Credit Cards

SANTA TERESA, N.M.- U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents seized over 400 fraudulent credit cards and gift cards. Two Mexican nationals were arrested at the Santa Teresa port of entry, but their names have not been released. The two men, from Chihuahua City, Mexico, tried to smuggle the cards across the border.

Border officials made the arrest Tuesday night when the men tried to cross the border in a 2011 Ford Focus. One man was carrying 411 cards and the other man had an additional 11 cards. Both will make their initial appearance in federal court in Las Cruces on Thursday.
