Editor's Review:
The Ink Bold(SM) with Ultimate Rewards is one of the 3 options within the Chase Ink line-up of business credit cards. Through its Ultimate Rewards program, the card features several benefits that are likely to be quite attractive to the business owner who make a relatively large number of purchases each year, who does not want a pre-set spending limit and who is able to pay off the credit card balance at the end of each month in order to avoid high interest rate charges.
With the Ink Bold(SM) with Ultimate Rewards credit card, cardholders receive one point for every dollar that is spent with the card as well as two points for every dollar that is spent toward the purchase of airline tickets. In order to earn two points when purchasing airline tickets, however, the user must purchase the tickets with the Ultimate Rewards Travel Booking Tool.
Business owners who make at least $5,000 worth of purchases with the card within the first 3 months of opening the account will receive 50,000 bonus points, which can be redeemed for either $500 in rewards or $625 in airfare.
Cardholders who spend up to $50,000 on qualified business purchases will earn 5 times the points per dollar spend on cable and satellite television and radio services, wireless/telecommunication services as well as office supplies.
There are no foreign transaction fees and no "over the limit" fees associated with this card.
As might be expected from a business credit card with such an extensive rewards program, there is an annual membership fee of $95 with the Ink Bold(SM) with Ultimate Rewards credit card. For the first year, however, this fee is waived. New cardholders also receive a free one year membership to the Priority Pass program, which has a $99 value, as well as two complimentary visits to the Priority Pass Airport Lounges thereafter. Concierge service is also provided with the card and additional cards are provided to employees at no extra charge. Yet, the purchases that employees make do go toward the rewards points earned with the account.
