Editor's Review: The Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card is designed primarily as a cash back credit card for people with at least good credit. First of all, the cash back rebate is 1% on all "everyday" purchases made with a yearly rebate "ceiling" or limit of $300. Cardholders can also get up to 5% cash back on purchases made at drugstores, gas stations, supermarkets and utilities for the first 6 months and then 2% thereafter. "Dividend Dollar" checks are sent out in $50 increments, so you'll need to spend a minimum of $5,000 on the card before you'll get your first cash rebate check. You can even earn cash back on balance transfers and cash advances (see application for more details.)

Additionally, cardholders can earn more cash back by making purchases within the Citi Dividend Merchant Network. (Currently there are more than 200 participating merchants. See card application for more details.) The great thing about this feature is that there is no cash back limit on the amount you can earn on purchases made within the Merchant Network.

While you must have good credit to get approval, for those who qualify this card also features instant approval online as well. There is no annual fee for this card and it also has a low introductory rate on balance transfers for up to one year. For all of you cash advance customers, be aware of the 19.99% minimum cap; the cash advance rate will not fall below the 19.99% minimum.

Even though the card is primarily a cash back card, you will receive more than the standard platinum card benefits that include a comparably low ongoing APR, instant approval, auto rental insurance, emergency and travel assistance services, car rental discounts, as well travel accident insurance of up to $1,000,000.
