CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.- A server at Chili’s was arrested by Coral Springs police after several customers complained about false charges on their credit cards. The Chili’s loss prevention team was able to trace the activity to one person,  Germithe Geffrard, 23, of Pompano Beach. When police came to the restaurant to investigate further, a credit card skimmer was found in Geffrard’s apron. It was used by the waitress to scan three or more credit cards every day. She was arrested by police for possession of a scanning device.

Chili’s released a statement reiterating that it was an isolated incident and did not affect their corporate or local computers in any way. They also stated that they were fully cooperating with the police and that the employee in question was terminated as soon as the company was aware of the alleged conduct.
