The Citi® Platinum Select® MasterCard is a fairly standard platinum credit card offered by Citibank. The most compelling feature about this card is its attractive 0% introductory rate, placing it right at the top of our low interest credit card categories. The intro APR is good for 18 months on balance transfers and purchases. (The APR will vary based on the Prime Rate and both the rate and duration of the offer will be based on your creditworthiness.)
This particular platinum card has a comparably low interest rate (compared to other platinum low interest credit cards) and it has no annual fee. For all of you folks interested in cash advances, be mindful of the minimum interest cap (APR "floor") that applies to cash advances on this card.
The Citi® Platinum Select® MasterCard provides what we would describe as "typical" platinum cardholder benefits, including auto rental insurance, fraud protection, and substantial travel accident insurance coverage. However, there are no extraordinary benefits or services available to cardholders comparable to other platinum credit cards.
This is a very solid, yet stripped down, platinum credit card and a solid choice if you're just looking for a basic platinum comparably low interest credit card with a competitive APR and an extended 0% introductory rate offer.
