Editor's Review:
The Anne Geddes Visa Platinum credit card, which is issued by the Bank of America, is specially designed for credit card applicants with good credit who are also interested in helping children who are victims of abuse and neglect.
The Anne Geddes Visa Platinum is one of the better low interest credit cards available. In fact, cardholders receive a low 1.90% interest rate for the first six billing cycles on balance transfers and purchases. After the introductory period is over, the APR is adjusted to the highest Prime Rate over a three-month period. Even better, there is no annual fee with the card.
In addition to enjoying a low interest rate, cardholders can also feel good knowing they are contributing to a great cause. In fact, each purchase made results in a .5% contribution to the Anne Geddes Philanthropic Trust, which works toward the prevention of child neglect and abuse.
Upon being enrolled in the program, the cardholder also becomes eligible for the Anne Geddes rewards program. One point is earned for every dollar spent and these points, which expire after five years, can be used to purchase Anne Geddes merchandise. There is no annual limit on how many points can be earned. The first purchase made with the Anne Geddes Visa Gold card earns the cardholder a bonus 2,000 points. In addition, the cardholder earns 1,000 bonus points every year.
In addition to being a competitively low APR card offer, the Anne Geddes Visa Platinum Card does not skimp in the perks. It also offers auto rental insurance, purchase protection, and extended warranty services to its members.
The Anne Geddes Visa Platinum Card does not charge for additional cardholders. In addition, there is a $1,000 minimum credit line associated with the card, but no maximum. There is a 3% cash advance fee, with a minimum of a $10 fee. There is, however, no fee for balance transfers. There is a late payment fee of $19 on balances up to $250 and a $39 late fee on balances over $250.
