Editor's Review: The Citi® Platinum Select® MasterCard® is one of Citibank's overall best credit card offers. While compared to other platinum card offers, it might appear to be a somewhat stripped down offer because it does not provide any rewards offer in combination, but for applicants who don't require a rewards program and are looking for a competitively low intro as well as a low ongoing APR, the Citi® Platinum Select® MasterCard® is a solid credit card offer worth taking a good look at.

As previously mentioned, one of the most attractive features about this card is its 0% introductory rate (6 months), placing it right at the top of our low interest credit card offers. One of the most compelling reasons for this card to be considered a low interest credit card offer is not only the intro APR that's good for up to 12 months, but the low 0% APR can be applied toward BOTH purchases and balance transfers. Often times, a no interest introductory offer will apply to just balance transfers but not purchases. But with this card, the 0% intro offer is good for both. Additionally, this card has a comparably low APR (ongoing) when you compare it to other similar low interest credit cards in the category.

Instant online approval is a nice available feature for those customers who have very good credit. For those interested in cash advances on your card, however, be aware of the interest rate minimum cap (APR "floor") applicable on all cash advances made with this card. This just means that the lowest APR on cash advances regardless of the Prime Rate will drop no lower than the minimum cap.

This is a very solid, stripped down, platinum credit card and a solid choice if you're just looking for a low interest credit card with a competitive APR and an extended 0% introductory rate offer.
