Editor's Review: The Citi® Platinum Select® MasterCard credit card, issued by Citibank, was created specifically for individuals with very good credit who wish to take full advantage of the many benefits and services associated with Citibank.

There are many benefits associated with having a card that is backed by Citibank. For instance, the card provides up to $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, as well as auto rental insurance, emergency airline ticket replacement, and a variety of other services related to travel. The card also provides fraud and security protection, lost wallet service, and protection from liability for unauthorized transactions.

Cardholders also benefit from emergency cash and card replacement and lost and stolen card reporting. In addition, the card provides medical and legal referral services. Cardholders can also choose to have their photo added to the credit card.

Citi® Platinum Select® MasterCard offers an attractive 0% introductory offer for the first 18 months on balance transfers. Additionally, cardholders can enjoy a no interest 0% intro APR on purchases for the first 12 months as well. (The APR will vary based on the Prime Rate and both the rate and duration will be based on your credit worthiness.)

There is no annual fee associated with the Citi® Platinum Select® MasterCard. There is also no fee for putting additional cardholders on the account. After the introductory offer has expired, the variable APR is based on the Prime Rate. There is, however, a minimum cap on cash advances. This means the APR for cash advances will never be lower than the cap, no matter how low the Prime Rate may fall.
