Most Recommended Citibank Credit Cards
There are credit cards and then there are credit cards offered by Citibank. Citibank is unarguably one of the largest financial companies on the planet and very well known when it comes to credit cards. To go along with this reputation, Citibank features a wide variety of credit cards to suit the lifestyle and convenience of their customers.
There are well over a dozen different consumer credit cards currently available from Citibank. But, there are four that are among the most recommended. They include the Citi PremierPass Card, Citi Platinum Select MasterCard, the Citi Home Rebate Platinum Select Mastercard and the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card.
Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card
For those seeking a credit card that offers rewards, the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card is exactly what you are looking for. This rewards card works with a points earning system, allowing you to get cash back rewards on everything imaginable from everyday purchases like groceries and gas to electronics, home items, dinner, entertainment, travel as well as just about any purchase item you can think of (see card applicaton for more details).
The points are easy to get with the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card, and you can redeem up to 5,000 points in bonuses and receive a $50 gift card after you have made your first purchase. On The Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card, there is also zero percent interest 12 months on all balance transfers. The APR can increase, however, if you get behind with the card or with another creditor. Of course, with most Citibank cards, security against identity theft is a great additional benefit.
Citi Platinum Select Card
The flagship platinum card from Citibank is the Citi Platinum Select MasterCard, yet another top-rated card from Citibank that offers online account management, as well as a 0% APR on balance transfers and purchases for the first year as a cardholder. In addition, there is no annual fee with this card and you can get complimentary travel accident and car rental insurance. As part of the card's security from identity theft, the card has an early fraud detection plan in place that puts a temporary block on unusual purchase activitiy on your card as monitored by the Citi Fraud Early Warning system. And, as an added security feature, you can get your photo and signature on the front of the credit card as well. Should you still happen to lose your card, however, it is guaranteed to be replaced within 24 - 48 hours.
Citi PremierPass Card
Rewards and air travel miles are at your fingertips when you apply for a Citi PremierPass Card. This because, when you make a purchase with this credit card, you get what Citi calls "Thank You" points. "Thank You" Points are points given to you for every three miles you fly on your airline of choice, as well as on every dollar you spend. You can then choose to redeem these points for merchandise or travel. An initial 5,000 bonus points is placed on your card if you make a purchase within 60 days after you have opened the account. In that way, you start earning right away. This card is clearly Citi's most recommended airline miles credit cards.
Citi Home Rebate Platinum Select MasterCard
For the new homebuilder or homeowner comes the Citi Home Rebate Platinum Select MasterCard. With zero percent APR on balance transfers for a year, complete with no annual fee, you also enjoy getting rebates on your mortgage principal when you use this card. In addition, the card offers you a six percent rebate on your utility bill, cable/satellite TV, Internet Connection, and your telephone for up to six months. And, if you make a purchase from the card everyday, that could fetch you a one percent rebate that would also go toward paying down your mortgage principal, which makes the unique selling proposition of this card an outstanding feature worth taking a look at.
