Editor's Review:
For those looking for a rewards credit card without an annual fee, the Chase Sapphire(SM) Card is a good option to explore. With its flexible reward redemption process, the Chase Sapphire(SM) Card allows users to earn points toward airfare, shopping, hotel rooms or cash.
With the Chase Sapphire(SM) Card, users receive one point for every dollar spent with the card and two points for every dollar spent on dining. Card holders can also earn up to ten points per dollar spent at the online Chase Ultimate Rewards Mall. In addition, after you spend $3,000 within 3 months, card holders will receive a 25,000 point bonus worth $250 toward a round trip flight or any other reward. While there is a cap on how much can be applied toward the purchase of an airline ticket, users do have the option of purchasing a ticket that is valued at more than the award total. In this case, the card holder only needs to pay the difference between the award value and the purchase price of the ticket. As such, Chase Sapphire(SM) Card holders can easily enjoy the full value of the airline ticket reward.
In addition to awarding 25,000 bonus points, the Chase Sapphire(SM) rewards program offers several other perks. For example, there is no cap on the amount of rewards points that can be earned with the card. Furthermore, the points never expire, which means the user can easily save up the points to apply toward a special vacation or other purchase at a later date. The card also provides travel accident insurance and other emergency services, such as fraud protection and zero liability for unauthorized transactions. Other card benefits include rental car insurance and lost luggage reimbursement.
Unlike many credit cards, the interest rate for balance transfers made with the Chase Sapphire(SM) Card is the same as that for purchases. Therefore, those who are looking to combine all of their credit cards onto one card might find the Chase Sapphire(SM) Card to be the ideal choice. It should be noted, however, that balance transfers are not eligible for reward points.
