Editor's Review:
If you're looking for an easy yet effective way to help the environment, The Nature Conservancy Platinum Plus® Visa may be right for you. This card was specifically designed for those that are interested in supporting The Nature Conservancy, but still want the option of enjoying the benefit of credit card rewards program.
With this card, you'll earn one point for every dollar you spend toward purchases. Points can be redeemed for a variety of rewards, including free travel, gift cards, merchandise, or cash. In addition, with every new card account that's opened, Bank of America makes a contribution to The Nature Conservancy and new cardholders, upon approval, will receive a 1 year membership and subscription to Nature Conservancy magazine. With each donation, The Nature Conservancy works to protect and preserve natural environments around the world. Each time your card is used, Bank of America makes a small contribution to The Nature Conservancy.
There is no limit to the number of points you can earn each year. The points do expire after five years, however, which means you need to be certain to use them before the expiration date arrives.
The Nature Conservancy Platinum Plus® Visa credit card has a 0% introductory rate on all cash advances and balance transfers that is good for the first twelve billing cycles of card ownership. After the introductory period is complete, the APR is reasonable for those that qualify. If you have very good credit, you may qualify for a fixed 9.99% APR. Otherwise, it will be a fixed 15.99% interest rate.
In addition to its rewards program, The Nature Conservancy Platinum Visa credit card offers its cardholders a number of additional benefits, including fraud protection and a variety of online services and features. Cardholders also have the option of choosing their own credit card design from one of several different options.
There are no fees associated with card membership, though you will be charged a fee if you make a late payment on this card. If you have a balance of up to $100 on your card and you make a late payment, you will have to pay a fee of $15, a balance of between $100 and $250, your fee will be $29 and a balance of over $250 will incur a $39 fee if you're late making your payment.
The Nature Conservancy Platinum Plus® Visa credit card does not have any predetermined credit limits, but once your credit limit is determined, it's important for you to stay within your credit limit. If you go beyond your limit, you will have to pay a $15 over-limit fee if you have a balance of up to $500. If you have a balance over $500 and up to $1000, your fee will be $29. If your balance is $1000, on the other hand, your fee will be $39.
