Secret Service Brought in on Ohio Credit Card Fraud Case

WESTERVILLE, Ohio- Westerville police are astonished by the score of a $3 million credit card fraud case. It is the largest that the local Westerville police department has ever been involved in and the case was so substantial that the Secret Service was called in to investigate further. Lt. Paul Scowden believes credit card fraud is the crime of the century because of how easy it is.

Victim, Mike Wasylick, used his debit card to pay for dinner and the next day $5,500 was missing from his account. It took a week for Wasylick’s bank to return the money to his bank account. He no longer wants to pay with plastic.

According to police, the best way to protect yourself from credit card fraud is to pay in cash and never let your credit card out of your sight.
