With the arrival of mobile credit card processing, there is no excuse for small businesses to not accept credit card payments. According to a survey by Intuit GoPayment, small businesses that do not accept credit cards may lose $7,000 in sales a year. Over half of the countrys small businesses do not take credit cards, which creates a potential to lose out on $100 billion in annual sales.
Intuit GoPayment just launched a national video sweepstakes, Get Business Growing, to show how easy it has become to accept credit card payments on the spot with mobile devices. Small businesses have a chance at winning $10,000.
Small businesses often have problems with cash flow. By accepting credit card payments, businesses will get paid quicker and make more sales. The survey showed that 52% made at least $1,000 more a month because they accepted credit cards and 18% made at least $20,000 more per month.
