Some of the best attributes about the Citi® Platinum Select® MasterCard® are the balance transfer credit card features, placing it in elite company within the balance transfer category. The 0% intro APR is good for 18 months on balance transfers and purchases. (The APR will vary bad on the Prime Rate and both the rate and duration of the introductory offer will be based on your creditworthiness.) Many times, a 0% intro APR card will only offer 0% on balance transfers, but not on purchases. This is a nice added feature for those who anticipate a need for a low ongoing APR for upcoming purchases throughout the year.
Other cardholder benefits for this card include fraud protection, travel-accident and car rental insurance. It's important to note, however, that this particular card does not provide extra benefits or card services, such as a rewards program that you may find with other comparable platinum credit cards.
In summary, this balance transfer card is a solid offer for those looking to transfer a high APR balance that might also need a comparably low APR on purchases as well. This is a very solid "no non-sense" card choice for those shopping for balance transfer cards.
